Big Bird Fuels Copy Career
I was born in Miami and raised by my Cuban grandparents who didn't know any English. So, as a small child, I only knew Spanish. But the day I met a gigantic yellow bird, everything changed. I learned English and became fascinated by language all because of Sesame Street. I didn’t know it then, but my stint with Big Bird would inspire my career with words.
Many (many) years later, when I moved to the SF Bay Area, I discovered copywriting. Now, I play with words for a living—and boy, do I. I dabble in so many different areas of copywriting: long & short form, A/B testing, large-scale campaigns, people management, art directing, etc. I always find new ways to surprise and delight audiences. It gives me a delicious thrill to tap into emotions and bring stories to life with so few words.
Now, I’m excited for my next big adventure. And I have Big Bird to thank for it.
